TopSonics UI/UX Design

Summary
TopSonics is a leading provider of advanced ultrasonic homogenizers and laboratory solutions. Unlike purely digital products, this project involved designing the Physical Interface (Industrial UI) for high-precision scientific equipment used in modern science and industry.
The Challenge
Laboratory environments are demanding. Users often operate equipment while wearing gloves, in high-pressure situations, or around sensitive chemical substances.
The Problem: Many existing lab tools have cluttered interfaces and poor ergonomic controls, leading to manual errors and user fatigue.
The Goal: To design a visual and physical identity that communicates "Professional Precision" while ensuring the device is intuitive enough to minimize errors during complex experiments.
Design Philosophy: Form Follows Function
For TopSonics, the design language had to be Functional, Minimalist, and Durable.
The Industrial UI: I focused on a clear hierarchy of information. Critical metrics like "Frequency," "Power," and "Timer" were prioritized to be readable from a distance in a busy lab.
Ergonomics: I designed the physical touchpoints to be accessible even when the user is wearing protective gear, ensuring a tactile response that confirms every action.
Visual Language: Science Meets Modernity
I moved away from the bulky, outdated "industrial" look to a sleek, modern aesthetic that fits into contemporary research facilities.
Color Palette: A clean, professional scheme using whites, grays, and "TopSonics Blue" to represent reliability and scientific excellence.
