Design isn’t just what I do; it’s how I understand the world. I am driven by an innate need to build, improve, and solve problems. Here is a look at the passions and principles that fuel my work every day.
My Story
I have been building web interfaces since 2012, starting on national-scale public platforms where designing the pages and implementing the front-end were the same job. That is roughly how I have worked ever since.
For the last six years that has meant Grutto, a Dutch farm-to-table e-commerce platform. I designed features and then built them in React: the configurator that lets customers build their own meat box, checkout changes, product pages, shared components. I sat on the CRO team, wrote hypotheses, and ran the A/B tests that decided which version stayed.
Alongside that I build my own products. GoSite is a site builder where I own the multilingual translation pipeline: batching, chunk packing, caching and reinjection in Next.js and TypeScript over Firestore. HomeTection I co-founded in 2021 and have run since. Varaq is the third.
Fourteen years of design is what I bring to the problem. Being able to build it is what stops the work getting lost between a Figma file and a sprint.
